The Potter’s wheel

The action of manipulating clay on a wheel involves the entire body – from the hands on the clay to the elbows against the wheel and the center of gravity of the potter in relation to the center of the wheel.

A potter starts from an initial form that they are able to shape at will. Control points are visible along a red colored curve. Manipulation is alternated between two pointing devices, one in each hand
